1. Chemical Exposure: Prior to using chemicals the employee must know all the chemical products hazards listed in the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), which must be enclosed with his work permit.
2. Cleaning and Tidying Working Areas: To avoid slips, trips and falls and for more efficient working, working areas and workshops must be kept clean and equipment must be stored tidily.
3. Confined Spaces: Prior to confined space being entered the entry authorization must have been delivered by the Exploration Team and the atmosphere must have been measured by an authorized person.
4. Driving a Motorized Vehicle: The employee must have the appropriate license and management authorization to drive a motorized vehicle. He must also apply all internal and client rules, observe Libyan regulations and respect all safety requirements related to the motorized vehicle usage.
5. Hazard Isolations: When performing a task on a powered system, the employee must ensure isolations has been validated by the Exploration Team and double check that all isolations are in place as per the isolation plan.
6. Incident Reporting: Before reporting a hazard or unsafe act to management the employee must intervene to avoid an incident. He must then formalize the event and report it.
7. Lifting Operations: The employee must be certified and authorized to performing a lift operation. He must ensure his colleagues do not stand under a suspended load, never cross a lifting area, pay attention to the lifting movement and never intervene in the lifting operation if he has not been designated to do so.
8. Portable Working Tools: Prior to using a portable working tool the employee must inspect it visually to ensure it can be operated safety. All safety precautions must be respected when using tools.
9. PPE: When performing a task, the employee must use the appropriate standard plus task specific PPE at all times as per the preventative measures specified in the risk assessment.
10. Pre-Job Meeting: Prior to each task the team leader must hold a pre-job meeting on site with all the team to explain the task and related risks and check that all preventive measures have been taken into consideration.
11. Safe System of Work: When performing a task, the employee must respect the work Permit system and understand and apply the Risk Assessment preventative measures.
12. Work at Height: Prior to working at height the employee must know the minimum height at which personal fall-prevention measures (scaffolds, harness and double lanyard) are required.
